Emma is a PhD candidate pursuing a joint degree in History and History of Science, Medicine, and Technology. Her doctoral dissertation explores activism by disabled parents in the postwar United States. Her essay about Depo-Provera and intellectual disability recently won the Shryock Medal from the American Association for the History of Medicine. She is also a cohost of the Disability History Association Podcast.
