Jenny Higgins publishes a new study on sexuality and contraceptive method selection

CORE Director Jenny Higgins, CORE Lab member Kelsey Wright, and colleagues at the University of Utah recently published an article examining whether sexuality-related factors (like impact on libido or impact on sexual interruption) are important when selecting contraceptive method. Based on data collected from the HER Salt Lake Contraceptive Initiative, Higgins and colleagues found that many contraceptive seekers rank sexual-related priorities alongside safety and efficacy as very important, and that a range of methods align with people’s sexual priorities.
