Graduate and Professional Students
Graduate and professional students, as well as postdoctoral fellows, are encouraged to get involved with the UW Collaborative for Reproductive Equity (CORE) through CORE Lab.
CORE Lab is a collaborative space to increase and share knowledge about reproductive health and equity in the U.S. and Wisconsin. Lab members receive training in rigorous research methods and approaches to studying reproductive health and equity. Additionally, members benefit from a supportive, constructive community in Lab sessions and an online team platform.
During the academic year, CORE Lab convenes weekly for one hour. CORE’s leadership, staff, interns, and UW faculty also participate.
Sessions vary from week to week. Agenda items can include news updates, research project updates, journal clubs, professional development sessions, and presentations from outside speakers.

Undergraduate Students
CORE’s commitment to training the next generation extends to our undergraduate internship program. We are proud to mentor interns who have an interest in reproductive health and research.
Undergraduate interns work with CORE staff, who provide skilled support for CORE’s activities. CORE interns receive hands-on experience in supporting, conducting, and disseminating research, as well as general professional development support. Interns also create an end-of-semester project that connects reproductive equity and a chosen topic.
